Apr 23, 2024

Project Remit

Provide inspirational and motivational wall graphics throughout Linlithgow Academy, alongside wayfinding and department signage, to help pupils navigate their way around the school.

Customer

West Lothian Council / Linlithgow Academy

Products/Services to be provided

  • Full site survey to determine best locations for each sign panel and sizes required.
  • Prepare and submit design proposals for approval.
  • Manufacture digitally printed vinyl wrapped aluminium composite boards with protective matt overlaminate.
  • Installation of boards onto solid brick and plasterboard walls.

Challenges that had to be overcome

Installation had to be carried out with upmost care and attention to ensure there was minimum disruption to pupils and live lessons.  Boards were bonded to the walls with high bond silicone and VHB tape resulting in no visible face fixings.  Care and attention was taken to ensure all waste was removed from site.

Project Manager/Project Statement

This was a great project to be part of and really enhanced the working environment for the staff and pupils at Linlithgow Academy.   The images selected brought the respective departments to life and gave a little insight into the variety of the work that they carry out across all disciplines.   It was important to ensure that the graphics were inspiring for both the Staff and Pupils and complied with the school values.
